Maison Bellac Accommodation

The House of Bellac

Accommodation

ODHAC, public housing office and the Town Hall of Bellac are stakeholders in the project: The Town Hall of Bellac, under the leadership of the Mayor, ceded a plot of land of 1500 m2 to ODHAC.
ODHAC, social landlord, built the residential house. The plans were developed in consultation with the Maison des Cinq association. Specific equipment such as sliding doors, whenever possible, secure fences, walk-in showers, garden sheds have been installed to facilitate and improve the lives of the occupants.
The LEGRAND group, as part of actions for the benefit of people with disabilities, took charge of part of the equipment and home automation equipment. The association took care of the installation of the open kitchen with an “island” and the household appliances as well as the layout of the common rooms. Each occupant has furnished their room according to their taste and needs. In addition, the association also took charge of the installation of a rainwater recovery tank, and the development of stabilized paths (coated), to allow the circulation of wheelchairs and gardening equipment. The surface area is 197 m2 and includes 5 bedrooms of 14.50 m2 plus 1 additional bedroom dedicated to "temporary stays" to accommodate the occupants and a large living-dining room with an open kitchen which allows everyone to participate to the extent of their possibilities in the preparation of meals.
The work began in October 2013. The reception of the building took place at the end of September 2014 and the house received its first occupants on November 4, 2014.
